Puppy-Wise: (things we've gleaned over the years)

Chocolate is toxic to dogs. Grapes will cause liver damage. But a small carrot is a fine lo-cal treat.
Use only B&W-inked newspaper sheets in puppy pens. Pups chew on the paper, and colored inks contain lead.
Avoid rawhide chews, pigs ears, etc. not made in the USA (or Canada), particularly those from 3rd world countries. They may contain parasites, or arsenic may have been used to kill parasites - it is also harmful to your dog.
You can't love a puppy too much. ^^

The two-CD set of Kathy Mar's "Plus Ça Change" (THOR cassette, 1988) and "Plus C'est la Même Chose" (THOR cassette, 1990) was produced by ImageCraft and released at LosCon on 11/24/00. This analog and digitally remastered set includes new artwork, as well as 3 new bonus tracks ("Ship of Stone", "Ghost" and "Old Souls") courtesy of Prometheus Music.
