From The "Worrier Princess"

I've Been Cloned! One memorable (?) day sometime back in the '90's, my sister the TV junkie placed an excited call to our house and told my husband: "Quick! Hurry!! Turn on Channel 25; your wife's on TV!!!" Thus we discovered a new form of entertainment: "Xena, Warrior Princess". A pseudo-historical show (I've always been a huge fan of ancient history) with a real kick-ass woman hero who has another woman for a sidekick - what's not to like? (Not to mention the subtext ;) ) It was quite amusing. ( - and sometimes BEmusing. My then 4-year-old once pointed to a picture of Lucy Lawless on the Web and identified it as "Mommy"!) We watched the show for a while, and my children seemed to like it too, but when it became too violent for children I stopped watching it as well, as I was never actually "otaku" about it. (Sorry, Sis, but I probably will not make that "Xena" costume at this point.) Besides, we really don't have any TIME in our lives for TV! (My husband calls me "The Worrier Princess". He thinks it's sooooo funny. Ha ha.)
